Texas

Texas has been my home base since May 2017, which means this page should probably have more information than anywhere else, so get ready!

I live in College Station, which is basically in the middle of the cool-kids triangle of Austin, Houston, and Dallas (a little far-fetched, but it feels that way).

College Station isn’t much to write home about (unless you ask an Aggie). It’s a true college town where the college is the life of the city and there’s not much else going on here. HOWEVER, College Station has grown and continues to grow as the years go on (thankfully!).

Since being in Texas, I’ve visited pretty much all the major cities – Houston, Austin, Dallas, San Antonio – as well as many of the smaller cities. If you’re following my hiking journey, you’ll see, I’ve also visited a lot of the Texas state parks.

Texas is a HUGE state and has more diversity, in terms of landscape, than I ever knew before moving here. I’ve been floating down the rivers in southeast Texas, hiking in canyons in the northwest, camping/kayaking in amazing campgrounds/bayous in the Upper East Side, and swimming in incredible waterfalls and natural springs. I’ve also, of course, delved into some great nightlife fun in Houston, Austin, and Dallas.
